As families and friends come together to celebrate the holidays, we encourage you to take a moment and give the gift of hope to someone facing cancer this season.

Sarah Cannon recently introduced Letter to Me, a new initiative where you have the opportunity to empower someone battling cancer by sharing your own personal story in a letter. Unfortunately, cancer affects us all, whether personally or in our circle of family and friends, and our stories can inspire and empower people fighting cancer today.

Letter to Me is the title of a #1 hit song by Brad Paisley, Country artist and ambassador for Sarah Cannon’s Band Against Cancer campaign, about a letter he would write to his 17-year-old self. Sarah Cannon is using the concept of letter writing to reach patients and their families in a new and impactful way, and it is simple to get involved.

  • First, visit BandAgainstCancer.com/LetterToMe and choose if you would like your letter sent to a person facing cancer or a caregiver.
  • Then decide if you would like to email your letter directly to someone you know, or have Sarah Cannon deliver it to a person facing cancer through its community partners.
  • Knowing what you know now, write what you would say to yourself when you were touched by cancer, hit “Submit Letter.”

Every minute, three more people are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. This holiday season, we encourage you take a moment to give the gift of hope to patients and their families with your Letter To Me.
